200 People, One Giant LEGO Challenge: VERTO Takes on Brick Masters in Sydney 

When you’re planning team building for large teams, finding something that keeps 200 people engaged is no small task. Luckily, that’s exactly where our VERTO crew stepped up to the challenge.

Their Sydney conference needed a conference breakout activity that was energetic, creative and genuinely fun. So we rolled in the bricks and launched one of our favourite indoor team building activities….our Brick Masters challenge.

What followed was part creativity, part chaos… and entirely entertaining.

Turning a Conference Room into a LEGO Construction Zone

Each team received a giant pile of LEGO and a mission: build something impressive enough to win the Masterpiece Challenge.

At first, there was the usual polite planning phase. However, it didn’t last long.

Soon enough the room turned into a buzzing construction site. Bricks were flying, designs were evolving and teams were fiercely protecting their masterpieces from wandering competitors.

It’s exactly why indoor team building activities like this work so well. Everyone can contribute, regardless of role or personality.

From Bathurst to Jurassic Park

One of the best parts of the event was seeing the wild variety of ideas teams came up with.

Some teams went bold and built towering structures that stretched higher and higher as the clock ticked down. Others focused on storytelling, bringing some incredible scenes to life.

Among the standout creations were:

• A detailed Mount Panorama Bathurst race track, complete with winding corners and tiny cars racing around the circuit

• A giant VERTO logo proudly constructed brick by brick

• A dramatic Jurassic Park scene with dinosaurs towering over their creations

• A surprisingly peaceful underwater world filled with sea creatures and coral

Of course, not every structure survived until judging.

A few of those ambitious towers had other plans and crumbled moments before the judges arrived. The room erupted with laughter as teams scrambled to rebuild their masterpieces.

Moments like these are exactly why it’s such a memorable fun corporate event.
