Team Building Across Australia: Scape’s Epic Multi-City Amazing Race
When Scape Student Housing reached out, they wanted team building activities that could connect their international residents across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide. Their goal was to create meaningful connections through teamwork, laughter, and friendly competition.
From Local Events to a Nationwide Experience
Originally, Scape planned to host individual team building events in each city. Each group would explore local businesses and community hotspots. However, we saw an opportunity to do something far more exciting, a multi-city Corporate Amazing Race that would unite everyone across Australia.

How the Multi-City Amazing Race Worked
We designed a national team bonding experience where all four cities kicked off at the exact same moment. Each location had its own lively host and a custom event website to keep everyone connected through a shared live countdown.
When the timer hit zero, every city erupted into action. Teams sprinted from their starting points, tearing open their first envelopes to reveal clever clues and creative challenges. From riddles to photo missions, every task encouraged communication, collaboration, and plenty of laughter.
Throughout the day, teams raced through checkpoints, solving puzzles, completing quirky challenges, and celebrating victories together. The event’s structure kept energy levels high while maintaining a shared national connection.

This event perfectly balanced local fun and national engagement. Every city had its own unique vibe, but the simultaneous start made everyone feel united under one goal. It showed how team building ideas can scale across cities while keeping every participant involved and motivated.
