Set against the beautiful bayside backdrop of Manly, this Brisbane Amazing Race combined creative thinking, hilarious challenges and just the right amount of friendly competition. It was one of those events where every checkpoint had teams laughing, thinking and occasionally questioning what they had just signed up for.

A Brisbane Amazing Race With A Creative Twist

One of the best parts about our Tailored Team Building events is that no two races are ever the same. Every event is designed around the client, their team and the experience they want to create.

For IOR Pty Ltd, we added a range of custom challenges that reflected both their business and their fun culture.

The first challenge sent teams on a scavenger hunt around Manly. However, collecting random objects was only half the mission. Once they had gathered enough items, they had to recreate the IOR logo using only what they had found. Some teams produced genuine works of art. Others… well, let’s just say creativity comes in many forms!

Baywatch… But Make It Team Building

Of course, we couldn’t resist adding something completely unexpected.

Teams made their way to the Manly Pool, where they discovered a collection of rescue equipment waiting for them. Their mission? Create the most entertaining Baywatch-style rescue video they could imagine.

There were dramatic slow-motion rescues. There were questionable acting performances. There were plenty of over-the-top lifeguard poses. Most importantly, there was a lot of laughter.

It’s safe to say this checkpoint quickly became one of the highlights of the day.

Local Businesses Joined The Fun

Another unique stop took teams inside a local business, where they took on a golf simulator challenge.

It was a fantastic way to mix physical activities with precision and friendly competition. Unsurprisingly, a few self-proclaimed golf experts discovered the simulator wasn’t quite as forgiving as they had hoped.

Meanwhile, another checkpoint challenged teams with a jigsaw puzzle. At first glance, it looked simple enough. However, hidden within the completed puzzle was the clue they needed to continue the race. It certainly slowed a few teams down and kept everyone on their toes.

Classic Team Building Challenges Never Disappoint

While the customised activities stole plenty of attention, we also included some of our all-time favourite Corporate Amazing Race challenges.

Teams tested their nerves with Knee Trembler, worked together to conquer Block Stack and discovered that hitting the target with our Slingshots isn’t nearly as easy as it looks.

These challenges encouraged communication, problem-solving and teamwork while keeping the energy high throughout the race.
