Innovation, Sunshine & a Whole Lot of Big Ideas

In December, we teamed up with Cicada Innovations to deliver an Indoor Team Building experience that was bold, creative, and packed with summer energy, the Innovation Challenge.

From the moment teams arrived, the vibe was clear. This wasn’t going to be a sit-back-and-listen kind of session. Instead, it was hands-on, high-energy, and all about turning wild ideas into pitch-ready products.

From Brainstorm to Breakthrough

To kick things off, teams were thrown straight into the challenge. Their mission? Design and create a brand-new summer essential, something fun, practical, or completely outrageous, and then pitch it to the sharks at the end.

First came the brainstorming. Ideas flew around the room as teams debated problems, sketched concepts, and built on each other’s thoughts. Then, the real teamwork kicked in. Roles naturally emerged, collaboration ramped up, and creativity took centre stage.

Meanwhile, prototypes started to take shape. Branding was locked in. Messaging was sharpened. And yes, there was even a runway element, because why not turn Fun Team Building Ideas into a full-blown show?

Lights, Runway… Pitch!

As the challenge ramped up, teams shifted gears from building to selling. One by one, they hit the runway to pitch their summer creations to the sharks. Confidence grew. Presentations got bolder. And the room buzzed with laughter, applause, and friendly competition.

What made this challenge shine was how naturally Team Bonding happened along the way. Teams communicated better, backed each other, and leaned into everyone’s strengths, all while having a genuinely great time.
